Welcome to St George's CE Primary School
Welcome to our school website! We are very proud to be able to share with you the wonderful opportunities and news at St George's CE Primary School!
St George' is a vibrant Church of England primary school, part of the Forward as One Multi Academy Trust, where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities. The children are at the heart of every decision we make, to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future. As a church school we value every child unique in the sight of God (with our motto 'The opportunity to be unique, Together achieving Excellence') and like to offer the children the chance to develop a good work ethic with strong values and to prepare them for the next phase in their personal, social, cultural and spiritual development. The Trust also has as its motto 'One Team, One Mission, One Family' and puts children at the front of every they do.
At St George's, we believe that children should be curious about their learning. Through our inquiry based curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum; where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential.
The school has a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents/carers, St George's Church, the local community and the other schools in the Mossley and Carrbrook Schools Partnership. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and regard you as an active partner in your child's education and value your interest and support.
We hope that this website will give you as much information as possible about our school, the staff and the many activities that our children enjoy through our curriculum and our extra-curricular activities that you need. It is constantly being updated so please log on regularly to see our latest events and achievements, but it can never replace the first-hand experience of coming to visit us. Please contact the school if you would like to look round and I will be delighted to show you around and introduce you to all those who make St George's such a special and amazing school.
